(Ne)forma a series of performance improvisations, brings together two media, or rather creators of two artistic genres, musicians who deal with sonority in a particular way and performers whose main tool is their body; it nourishes and facilitates the development of improvisation as a practice and as a stage event; it is study-process oriented and welcomes mistakes, slips, stage catastrophes, because it is aware of the fact that these are the best study examples. To prevent Neforma from becoming a “form” in itself, the project invites participating artists to propose and test their own conceptual parameters. Alongside musicians and dancers, writers are also encouraged to reflect on improvisation. Neforma brings together people who hold a distinct approach to stage and art, believing that bringing them into a live context can open up creative experiences—for both the performers and the audience. Each invited artist becomes both guest and host. They may modify protocols, experiment with audience interaction, or even alter the location and structure of their performance.
