echospiel

Echospiel is a performative duo for percussion and contemporary dance based in Vienna, that explores with a synesthetic vision the relationship between sound and movement. Founded in 2022 by the classical percussionist Sofia Garzotto and the contemporary dancer Jerca Roznik Novak, Echospiel debuted in 2023 at the Grafenegg Festival (AUT) and performs since then at national and international venues between Austria, Italy and Slovenia. Their program “Bewegte Töne – eine Synästhesie”- a captivating fusion of movement and sound, expresses in a compelling and harmonious manner the synergy between percussion and dance that the artists pursue in their work. Premiered outdoors at the concert cycle “Musik im Park” in Grafenegg, was then presented indoor at the Fondazione Alberto Peruzzo gallery in Padova (ITA). The interdisciplinary interests of the artists animate them to collaborate with other forms of art, such as architecture, visual arts and video design, fields in which they constantly seek collaboration partners for new projects.
